Course Overview

The CSCS Health & Safety Course is built around the Highfield Level 1 Award in Health and Safety within a Construction Environment (RQF) — the regulated qualification that prepares learners for safe employment in the construction industry.

Successful learners who also complete the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) touch-screen test fulfil the requirements to apply for the CSCS Labourer's card, making this course the standard entry route onto UK construction sites.

The qualification consists of a single mandatory unit covering risk assessment, safe manual handling, working at height, risks to health, and working safely around plant and equipment.
